Was walking to the dollar store today and one of these passed by. To all other manufacturers with 4-cylinder performance cars; you have no excuse for them sounding lame. This gave some V8s a run for their money.

Aren’t those straight piped? The only other 4 cylinder with straight pipes that I can think of is the Alfa Romeo 4C.

I’ve heard them from the outside and thought they sounded broken and therefore not appealing at all to me.
Being noisy isn’t really that impressive. Sounding decent when people should be hearing it and not being annoying at highway speeds are top priorities for me.

I believe Mazda Speed3s just have cats - no muffler. T hey sound good, but not as nice as those Abarths.

The best part about traveling all the time for work used to be driving mine through the airport parking garage with the windows down.
